Do you need to be a resident to rent a coworking space in Andorra?
No. Andorran coworking spaces generally accept walk-in customers (day pass) or monthly subscriptions without requiring resident status. In fact, it’s a common way to try out the country before settling long-term. See our coworking directory.
Is a coworking space enough to register a company’s address in Andorra?
Some spaces, like SMART Coworking, offer company registered-address plans. But a coworking space doesn’t replace the other legal conditions for active residency (183 days/year physical residency, AFA deposit, genuine economic substance checked at renewal). See our page tax residency for freelancers in Andorra.
Can you pay for coworking in Andorra by the day?
Yes, most of the spaces we identified offer a day pass, generally between €25 and €30. See the detail on our page coworking prices in Andorra.
Is Andorra a tax haven for freelancers?
That’s not quite the right way to put it. Andorra applies real but low taxation compared with France or Spain: IRPF capped at 10%, IS at 10% (reduced to 5% under conditions), IGI at 4.5%. It’s not a zero-tax regime, and settling there involves strict effective-residency conditions (183 days/year for an active resident) — it’s not simply a paper tax address. See our page tax residency for freelancers.
How long do you need to live in Andorra to become a tax resident?
For active residency, the generally cited rule is effective physical presence of at least 183 days a year. For passive residency, the minimum presence threshold is 90 days a year, but that status generally doesn’t allow local paid work. See our settling-in-Andorra hub.
Can a French employee legally work remotely from Andorra?
It mainly depends on their employer’s agreement and the nature of their contract — moving to Andorra doesn’t automatically change the law applicable to a French employment contract. See our detailed page: working remotely from Andorra for a French employer.
Is there a digital nomad visa in Andorra?
Yes, governed by Llei 42/2022 and Decret 212/2023, with a quota of 50 permits a year. See our page Andorran digital nomad visa.
What is the Òmnibus 2 law, and why is everyone talking about it in 2026?
It’s Llei 2/2026, which came into force on 13 February 2026, and which tightened both passive and active residency conditions in Andorra (minimum investment raised to €1,000,000, non-refundable AFA deposit, etc.). See our page Òmnibus 2 law (2026): what changes.
